Riverside park for hiking among old lava flows & glacial potholes, plus canoeing, camping, fishing, climbing the cliffs of the St. Croix River Dalles, watching kayakers rush through the rapids, or relaxing on an excursion boat. The 300 acre geology that formed this park intrigues visitors and brings geologists from all over the world. Lava flows, distinct glacial potholes and traces of old streams, valleys, and faults can be found throughout the park. 37 single-family campsites (22 with electric hookups) There are several river front sites and all include a table, fire ring and grate.

William O'Brien State Park

St. Croix National Scenic Riverway
Primitive shoreline campsites are scattered along the St. Croix River and offer the opportunity to stay for three nights or move from campsite to campsite for multi-day trips. All sites are marked with a campsite sign and have a fire ring. Some have a picnic table and primitive toilets. Most are accessible only by boat or canoe. Willow River State Park
